love, puppies, flowers, etc...

The weekend before Valentine's Day.  Big thank you to St. Valentine and the Roman Empire for making our country go a little goofy for a day.  The last time I had a Valentine, I was 13.  A sweet boy gave me 1 dozen roses with a ring around the stems and the "I Believe I Can Fly" single.  Yup, that's right...R Kelly.  Even my Valentine's surname was so fitting: Lovelady.  That was a memorable day that I hope makes you giggle as well!

Fast forward 14 years, and I'm just content to eat some conversation hearts and know that I'm still the kid who might get a card from her mom :).  I hope that if you have a Valentine you enjoy the day! I will never dog this day too much, because my heart says it's important to celebrate the love in your life...no matter what it looks like or where it's found.

Okay, enough seriousness....here's some funnies:
Hope Monday is great for all of you.  Love each other!

toilet paper art

This blog is a total shout-out to my roommate, Paige.  She started this project during the summer when we moved into our new apartment.  It would be a really fun project for these snow days, except for the spray painting that you have to do outside.

Her inspiration came from a blog....something like THIS

We then collected TONS of toiled paper rolls....i would say well over 50....

Then, simply cut the rolls into equal parts...5 or 3...whatever you desire.
Using good ole Elmer's Glue...some clothes pins...and some idea or pattern you come up with...simply glue them together and hold in place for at least 12 hours.

After some gold spray paint, she created this fun design on above our couch in the living room.  It's almost finished!

birthday memories

Well, 27 came despite my wishes of staying 26 forever.  I'm excited about this year...and randomly, I've had some of my favorite years on the odd numbers!  Just wanted to thank my girlfriends for a great birthday evening.  We headed out to The Grove in Westlake.  I love trying new places especially when they include wonderful gourmet pizzas and fun wine flights.  Would recommend this spot to anyone needing to wind down over a good meal!  The bruschetta was also heavenly.
Needless to say, I'll be back there someday.  Hoping to start blogging more as 2011 continues rolling along.  It's a chilly day out there, kids.  Enjoy your snow days if you were lucky to get one!
